Far Skies — a gouache-painted d20 rising through the clouds

An AI-powered, 5e-compatible RPG

Far Skies: An adventure you can lose yourself in.

Explore a rich world, grow attached to the people you meet, and give your story time to unfold. We're building Far Skies for long campaigns that hold together, solo or with friends.

Far Skies · In development

It's hard to lose yourself in a world you have to keep correcting.

You've already explained your past. A stranger knows your secrets. A moment you wanted to sit with becomes another rush to the climax. Before long, you're managing the adventure instead of enjoying it.

If you've spent any time with AI RPGs, you know that feeling. If you haven't, we're building Far Skies so you won't have to.

01 / The storytelling

Give the story time.

There's room for a quiet evening, an unresolved argument, a clue you don't understand yet. A dedicated storytelling engine looks after pacing, backstories, and open threads, working toward payoffs that feel earned across sessions.

Built for the long campaign.

02 / The world remembers

Your choices leave a history.

Who you trusted. What you promised. How things ended last time. We're building a world that carries important facts and consequences between sessions, giving your campaign a history you can return to.

Your history should have a place in the world.

03 / The people you meet

Get to know them gradually.

A companion has convictions, habits, private worries, and reasons to act without your prompting. We're building characters with their own memories and limited knowledge—people you can grow close to, misunderstand, or fall out with.

They can hear a rumor. They can also believe the wrong one.

04 / Your kind of adventure

Make room for a campaign.

Start a solo adventure or bring a party of friends. Play together live, or keep things moving across the week. Far Skies is being built for the time you have and the people you want to spend it with.

Solo · Live multiplayer · Asynchronous play

05 / The game underneath

Know what your character can do.

A reaction held in reserve. A spell cast at a higher level. Cover that changes your odds. A dedicated 5e-compatible game engine resolves the mechanics, giving you a consistent basis for planning, taking risks, and getting creative.

Rules, rolls, and consequences tracked by the engine.

How Far Skies runs a campaign

Game rules, world continuity, and storytelling need different kinds of attention. We're building dedicated systems for each, giving the language model a grounded situation to narrate.

The game engine

Resolves actions against 5e-compatible rules and updates the game state: combat, inventory, resources, and positioning.

The world engine

Tracks people, places, relationships, and consequences, including what individual characters remember, believe, and have learned.

The story engine

Guides pacing, spotlight, backstories, and open threads, keeping longer-term narrative purpose in view across sessions.

The final layer

The language model

Uses the current game, world, and story context to describe what happens and voice the characters you meet.

Narration & dialogue

A conceptual view of the systems we're building.

Beyond the horizon

Make room for your own ideas.

Make it yours.

Homebrew that the engine can run. We're building tools to translate your spells, creatures, and classes into playable content.

Bring your people.

Solo, live, or across the week. Couch co-op is on the roadmap: one screen, everyone in the room.

Stay for the story.

Designed for long campaigns, with a world that preserves what matters and carries consequences forward.

Before you set out

A few fair questions.

A little clarity before a little adventure.

Is this better than a human GM?

No. And no platform ever will be. The person who knows your friends, reads the room, and makes something wonderful with you isn't something we're trying to replace. Far Skies is a different way to adventure, not a verdict on your table.

Do I need to know 5e?

No. We're designing guidance to introduce the rules as you encounter them, with the option to switch it off when you don't need it. Curiosity is a good place to start.

Will it remember everything?

No. We're building systems to preserve important facts, relationships, consequences, and character knowledge across sessions. That's a continuity goal, not a promise of perfect recall.

Can I bring my own content?

That's the plan: spells, feats, creatures, and classes that the engine can execute. A homebrew agent and combat simulator are part of that direction.

What happens when it gets something wrong?

Errors will happen. We're designing ways to report and correct them so you can get back to playing. How those corrections work is part of what we're developing.

When can I play?
